This smooth lake is fed by Dalaman River and thermal springs offers life to many endemic flora and fauna such as loggerhead turtles, nile turtles, kingfishers, egrets, pine and sweetgum forests.

Playing among the mud baths in Dalyan is great fun. Some say that you will feel ten years younger after visitng these mud baths. It is believed that taking a mud bath here, gives you some health benefits. Don’t worry !!! there are shower facilities nearby where you can clean-off all the mud on you before leaving from here.

The Iztuzu beach is popularly known as the ‘Turtle Beach with Golden Sands’. This 7 km long stretch of shoreline is one of the last breeding ground for the extinct Loggerhead Caretta Caretta Sea Turtles. This very special beach stands right between the lake (freshwater) and Sea (salty water).

During you sail from Koycegiz lake to Turtle beach, you will come across the famous temple tombs of the ancient city Caunos. We will stop right infront of these ancient tombs. While you are taking your pictures, your tour guide will explain you the history of these ancient graves dating back to 4th Cent BC.

The trip begins with a pick-up from your hotel at 06.00 am in the morning and ends up with a drop-off to your hotel at around 18:00 pm in the evening. The bus drive from Antalya to Koycegiz village will take around 4 hours.. Upon your arrival, you will be transfered to river boats and cross the famous Koycegiz lake to arrive to Sultaniye mud baths. The thermal springs, mud baths and the hot spring baths are known to provide you with some secret health benefits. Your friends or family accompanying you will have a great time playing in the mud baths here. After you are filled with all this fun, you are offered a specially cooked local cuisine for your lunch on the boat. The boat then moves along the pristine surroundings and reach the shore. On the way you can see the ancient Rock Tombs at the city site of Caunos, while you are watchig the Temple Tombs your tour guide will reveal you several legends and stories associated with this enchanting place.

Then you move on your boat to the Turtle Beach (Iztuzu beach) facing the Mediterranean Sea. You can swim in the fresh water lake just beside the beach and if you are lucky enough, you can see turtles moving around the beach. The pick-up from the hotel, meals, entrance fees, river boats and guidance services are all included in the trip fee.
